Tara (Oven Lamb and Cumin)
Here is one of the many recipes from my Father-in-Law. He will be making it, I will be posting it.
2 pounds lamb shoulder, cubed
1 1/2 pounds potatoes, peeled and halved
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 can tomato diced
2T tomato paste
3/4 Cup water
1/4 Cup olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
- Marinate cubed lamb in a few tablespoons of olive oil, salt and pepper.
- Next day add lamb and all ingredients together.
- Add all of this to a roasting pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees until potatoes and lamb are tender. About 2 hours.
- Stirring occasionally.
- Serve with vegetables.
